Two Northampton County men charged with breaking into a Lehigh Township home and assaulting a resident with a knife and a golf club could face trial in the case.
Both Keegan Golomb, 21, of 3500 block of Belfry Road, Lehigh Township, and Christopher Gross, 22, of the 1300 block of Atlas Lane, Northampton, waived their preliminary hearings before District Judge Robert Hawke, according to court records.
A third defendant in the burglary and assault case, 22-year-old Jamon Gambal, of the 2300 block of Main Street, Northampton, has a hearing slated for January, records say.
The trio is accused of breaking into a residence in the 4800 block of Cypress Drive in the township and assaulting Christopher Beck, records say. Golomb allegedly demanded information from Beck, records say. When he could not provide it, Gross and Golomb assaulted Beck with a golf club and held a knife at his throat while Gambal was upstairs with his friend, Jacob Flores, records say.
Both Golomb and Gross are being held in Northampton County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail. Gambal is free on $100,000 unsecured bail.
Court papers indicate Golomb and Gross waived the entirety of their charges to Northampton County Court. Unless a plea deal is brokered or some other resolution found, the two men could face trial in the case.
They both face charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, burglary, criminal trespass, conspiracy charges and other crimes. Gambal faces charges of burglary and conspiracy to commit aggravated assault.
